Emergency drill scheduled Friday
Full-scale emergency evacuation drill scheduled for Friday at 10:00 AM. All departments will participate. Drill scenario: ammonia release from refrigeration system in utility area. Assembly points are parking lots A, B, and C per emergency action plan. EHS team will act as exercise controllers. Drill expected to last 30-45 minutes. All contractors must also participate. Department supervisors confirm headcount at assembly points.
Near miss follow-up - forklift training
Follow-up action from forklift near-miss incident at Loading Dock B3. All warehouse forklift operators must complete refresher training by end of this week. Training sessions scheduled: Tuesday 0700, Wednesday 1500, Thursday 2300 (to cover all shifts). Sign-up sheet posted in break room. Supervisors to ensure 100% attendance.
Safety shower inspection due this week
Monthly safety shower and eyewash station inspection is due by Friday. Inspection checklist forms are in the EHS office filing cabinet. All 24 stations must be tested for flow rate, temperature, and drainage. Last month station #14 (Extraction area) had low flow - verify it was repaired. Assign two EHS technicians for this task.
PPE inventory low - order nitrile gloves
PPE inventory check shows nitrile gloves (size M and L) below minimum stock level. Currently have 12 boxes of M and 8 boxes of L versus minimum of 25 each. Placed emergency order with SafetyFirst Supply - expected delivery Wednesday. Departments should conserve usage. Contact EHS if stock runs out before delivery.
