Waste water pH out of spec
Wastewater discharge pH reading at 10.2 at 15:45 - above permitted limit of 9.0. Increased acid dosing pump rate from 15% to 35%. pH trending downward - currently at 9.5 at 16:30. Root cause appears to be caustic cleaning discharge from blending area CIP system. Notified blending supervisor to stagger CIP cycles. Environmental regulatory reporting may be required if pH exceeded limit for more than 1 hour.

Boiler #2 scheduled for inspection
Boiler #2 is scheduled for annual insurance inspection on Thursday. Need to begin cooldown procedure on Wednesday evening shift. Boiler #1 and #3 can handle full plant load. Notify all department supervisors that steam pressure may dip during switchover. Inspector from Hartford Steam will arrive at 0700 Thursday.
